If you haven't solved it yet, pay attention! There is a big difference between day and night skin care. If you're serious about your skin care, you should have both! By using the right care, you delay the natural aging process of your skin, and the sooner you start, the more your skin will reward you in the future.
How Does the Day Cream Work?
Day creams (a.k.a. moisturizers) are intended for the morning skin care routine. It will provide the skin with all-day nutrition, hydration and, above all, protection. When there is light outside, the skin is in defense mode. During the day, the skin is exposed to many factors that could damage it. These include sunlight, pollution, smog, dust, blue light and more. Day creams are therefore equipped with UV filters, antioxidants, vitamins and other substances to protect against these invaders. If we don't protect the skin, it could leave consequences on the skin in the form of premature aging and the formation of pigment spots. You can also often find ingredients in day creams that protect the skin from the adverse effects of the weather. For that reason, it is good to change creams according to the season - in summer, choose products with a lighter consistency, in winter, on the contrary, go for a thicker cream.
Although day cream can sometimes boast anti-aging properties, it is usually moisturizing and has less active ingredients such as retinol or various acids. There is a simple reason for this. These substances are great against wrinkles and other signs of skin aging, but on the other hand, they make the skin more sensitive to sunlight. The combination of these substances and UV rays could leave a nice patch on the skin in the form of a rash, redness, etc. Therefore, the moisturizing creams and serums you use should mainly contain antioxidants, such as vitamin E, and *strong moisturizing and protective substances *, such as hyaluronic acid, which will strengthen and support the skin in the fight against external aggressors. On the other hand, you're unlikely to find major antiaging actives like alpha-hydroxy acids, glycolic acid, and retinol in day creams, which can cause skin irritation when exposed to sunlight.
In terms of texture, most day creams have a lighter consistency that is quickly absorbed into the skin, so it is also ideal as a base for make-up.
How Does the Night Cream Work?
Night creams are intended for the night skin care routine. At night, our skin is no longer exposed to harmful external factors, it is no longer in defense mode, so it can repair itself naturally during sleep. In addition, microcirculation in the skin naturally increases at night and oxygen penetrates the cells better. It is then that the skin is most open to receiving the necessary nutrients. The main task of the night cream is therefore to promote regeneration and provide the skin with the necessary dose of nutrition and hydration. During regeneration, the night cream helps to repair damage to skin cells caused by external influences during the day and reduce signs of aging and skin pigmentation.
Night creams usually contain a higher concentration of active substances than day creams. In addition, thanks to the fact that the night cream is only used at night, highly effective ingredients for skin rejuvenation can come to the aid of the skin, such as especially retinol, which research has shown to help stimulate cell renewal and collagen production and even reverse visible signs of UV damage. It is not added to day creams for one simple reason. Retinol, AHA acids, glycolic acid and many other active anti-aging ingredients are photosensitizing, which increases the skin's sensitivity to the sun, and this can cause redness, flaking or itching of the skin. Hyaluronic acid to ensure hydration, coenzyme Q10 to prevent skin aging, peptides to firm and smooth and vitamin A to support collagen production are also often used. A new hit called Bakuchiol shouldn't go unnoticed either. It is a natural alternative to retinol that is not photosensitizing and has no side effects. It can thus also be used in facial cream (e.g. Diet Esthetic Vit Vit Bakuchiol).
Compared to the day cream, the night cream usually has a heavier, richer, greasier consistency that is absorbed slowly into the skin. At night, you don't care if your skin looks shiny or greasy. After all, this is also why the night cream is not very suitable as a base for make-up. But the heavier, denser texture makes sense. This is because our skin naturally loses water overnight, so a thicker cream can help seal in moisture, along with active ingredients that are released gradually throughout sleep, so that your skin looks rested and refreshed in the morning. In addition, the denser consistency prevents skin dryness due to active substances such as retinol, which can have drying effects when used excessively.

Can You Use Night Cream During The Day & Vice Versa?
It's a question that many of us ask: "Can I apply day cream at night and night cream during the day?". If you're serious about skin care, don't do it. The special composition of skin cream if used at the wrong time, it will not benefit the skin and will not be effective.
If you were to apply a day cream at night, you would burden the skin unnecessarily with the UV filter contained in it, and the day cream would probably not provide you with the necessary nutrition and hydration that your skin needs during the repair phase at night. It could also interfere with the skin's natural renewal processes.
As for using a night cream during the day, neither you nor your skin will be satisfied. Using a night cream during the day can result in your skin not being sufficiently protected from the sun and other external aggressors, due to the lack of protective ingredients. In addition, some night creams may contain light-sensitive substances, which will further impair the protective function of the skin. In addition, the dense texture of the night cream can cause a heavy feeling and a greasy appearance, which probably none of us wants. A greasier texture also does not allow makeup to adhere well to the skin, which can cause a patchy appearance. That's why I always prefer a day cream during the day and a night cream at night. But if there is no need, the lesser evil is to use the day cream at night, but never the other way around.
What Is 24-Hour Cream For Day & Night?
What about day and night creams? If you don't want to invest a lot of money in cosmetics, or if you don't want to have a thousand bottles in the bathroom, then 24-hour cream for day and night is ideal for you, which contains the effects of day and night cream . This is the simplest type of face cream, it is a universal all-day cream. It is designed so that you can use it at any time of the day, morning or evening. Does this sound like a cool thing? But there is a catch. The disadvantage may be that it will not contain a high enough SPF to protect your skin from the sun's rays, and not such an effective concentration of anti-aging substances that effectively fight skin aging.
