• 10 Vol / 3% offers the lowest oxidative strength for more controlled lightening
• 20 Vol / 6% is a versatile option for many common salon lightening techniques
• 30 Vol / 9% provides the highest concentration in the range and is designed for services requiring more intensive lightening

Key ingredients and technology

• Oil base with mineral oil - helps create a rich and smooth consistency of the lightening mixture that adheres well to the hair and allows controlled application.
• Hydrogen Peroxide - the oxidative ingredient that activates the lightening process. Its concentration varies depending on the developer version – 3%, 6% or 9%.
• Calibrated Blonde IQ system - the developer and compatible lightener are designed to work together to provide optimal consistency, lightening performance and a more predictable result. For this reason, Redken does not recommend replacing Pro-Oxide Oil Developer with another standard developer.

How to use

1. Choose the appropriate concentration of Pro-Oxide Oil Developer according to the Redken Blonde IQ lightener used, the starting condition of the hair and the desired technique.
2. Wear suitable disposable protective gloves.
3. Measure the recommended amount of lightener and developer into a non-metallic bowl.
4. Mix thoroughly to a smooth, creamy consistency.
5. Always follow the mixing ratio and permitted developer strength exactly according to the instructions for the specific Redken Blonde IQ lightener.
6. Check the lightening process regularly during development.
7. After the prescribed processing time, rinse the hair thoroughly.

Warning: Pro-Oxide Oil Developer contains hydrogen peroxide. Use only according to Redken’s professional instructions and do not exceed the recommended concentration, mixing ratio or processing time stated for the specific lightener.

Frequently asked questions FAQ

• Can I replace Pro-Oxide Oil Developer with regular Redken Pro-Oxide Developer? This is not recommended. Pro-Oxide Oil Developer is specially calibrated for the Blonde IQ system, and using a different developer may change the consistency, lightening performance and expected result.

• Why is there no 40 Vol version available? Redken lists 30 Vol as the strongest option because, together with Blonde IQ 9+, it provides up to 9 levels of lift, so 40 Vol is not needed for this system.

• What if the bottle has been left open for an extended period? Redken does not recommend continuing to use the developer if it has been left uncapped, as the activity of the hydrogen peroxide may be reduced or the product may become contaminated.
