SmoothFiller Technology

The Wella SmoothFiller service is a demi-permanent smoothing treatment performed in the salon. It helps smooth the hair fiber, reduce frizz and improve manageability while maintaining the hair's natural structure. The results can last up to 3 months.

How to use

1. PREPARE THE HAIR

First, wash your hair with shampoo to cleanse it and prepare it for the application of the product. It is recommended to use a deep cleansing shampoo to remove all traces of styling products. Then blow-dry your hair to about 80% dry, leaving it slightly damp.

2. PRODUCT APPLICATION

Apply Wella Professionals Pro+ Smooth Filler evenly to your hair in sections, avoiding the scalp. Leave on for approximately 20 minutes to allow the active ingredients to be absorbed into the hair fibers. Then rinse hair thoroughly without using shampoo.

3. HEAT ACTIVATION

After rinsing, dry your hair thoroughly with a hair dryer until it is completely dry. Divide your hair into smaller strands and straighten them with a hair straightener.

MEN'S / RESISTANT HAIR

• fine: 180 °C
• medium thickness: 180–210 °C
• thick / resistant: 230 °C

COLORED

• fine: 180 °C
• medium density: 180–210 °C
• thick: 210–230 °C

BLEACHED / VERY SENSITIVE HAIR

• fine: do not use
• medium density: do not use
• thick: 180–210 °C

NUMBER OF STROKES WITH THE FLAT IRON

Adjust the number of strokes with the flat iron to achieve the desired result:

NATURAL EFFECT / REDUCTION OF FRIZZ:

• approximately 6–8 strokes per strand

MAXIMUM SMOOTHNESS / STRAIGHTENING:

• approximately 8–10 strokes per strand

The number of strokes can be adjusted according to the length and condition of the hair. Some parts of the hair may be more resistant (e.g., at the roots) and others more sensitive (e.g., the ends).

4. FINISHING THE SERVICE

Once all strands have been ironed, the SmoothFiller™ service is complete and the hair is smooth, shiny, and more manageable.

RECOMMENDATION: After the smoothing service, the hair can be colored on the same day, for example with Wella Professionals Color Touch demi-permanent color. For follow-up care, we recommend products from the Wella Ultimate Smooth range.
